ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking Disability Support Workers to join our growing team in Western Sydney. You will provide support for people with a disability to live independently and maintain their best possible social wellbeing. You will support our customers to achieve their personal goals and to live satisfying lives in our community.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

· Supporting our customers to achieve their goals

· Assisting our customers with daily personal care tasks such as showering, grooming, dressing, etc.

· Assisting with daily living activities including light cleaning tasks, meal preparation, etc.

· Promoting independent decision making

· Work within the principles of person-centred practice

You are a passionate and dedicated individual who is looking to make a difference in the community. As a people person, you pride yourself on exceptional customer service whilst ensuring customers achieve their goals and aspirations.

Requirements:





· Ability to build rapport with a diverse range of customers

· Experience working with young customers with complex support needs (e.g., paralysis, mental health concerns, etc.)

· Driven, compassionate, reliable & committed

· Robust communication skills

· Willingness to learn

· Spanish speaking (essential)

· Flexibility with shifts

· Must be available Tuesday and Wednesday (8am-1pm)

· Additional hours and shifts may become available

WHAT YOU NEED:

· Current driver's licence and vehicle (essential)

· Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)

· NDIS Worker Screen (or ability to obtain one is essential)

· NDIS Module 1 (or willing to obtain)

· National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
