Description

Summary:

The Retail Design Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the customer experience within our centres. Working closely with retailers, designers, shopfitters, and Haben internal and external stakeholders the role proactively drives high-quality retail design outcomes that enhance centre presentation, support leasing outcomes, improve customer experience and maintain the design integrity of each centre. The role plays a critical part in new leasing deals, renewals, refurbishments, relocations and tenancy remixing by providing practical design guidance throughout the tenancy lifecycle, from early leasing discussions through to construction, handover and post-completion review.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the design process for retail spaces, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, leasing, and operations, to develop innovative retail concepts.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and customer preferences that inform design decisions.




- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring that all design projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Oversee the selection of materials, furnishings, and fixtures that enhance the retail environment.
- Evaluate and improve existing retail spaces based on customer feedback and performance metrics.
- Prepare and present design proposals to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in retail design and customer experience.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail design or a similar role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous retail design projects.
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating engaging customer experiences.
