Charcoal Chan is a new charcoal BBQ bistro located in Glen Waverley, specialising in Asian-style skewers, stir fried dishes, small plates and late-night dining.

We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team.

Position: Chef / Kitchen Cook
Location: Glen Waverley, VIC
Employment Type: Full time / Part-time
Start Date: Immediate start available

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook BBQ skewers, stir fried dishes, fried items and side dishes
- Follow recipes, portion standards and kitchen procedures
- Assist with food preparation, marinating, cutting and stock rotation
- Maintain food quality, presentation and consistency during service
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with food safety standards
- Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team during busy service period

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen is required
- BBQ, grill,



Asian cuisine or skewer experience is highly preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Long-term availability is preferred
