Education and Social Participation | Dandenong, Footscray | Maximum Term - Part-time

- Two part-time positions (0.8 FTE) opportunities available until 30 September 2027, one based at our Dandeong site and one based in Footscray

- Dandenong - ability to speak Dari, Pashto, Hazaragi or Hindi is highly desirable
- Footscray - ability to speak in Vietnamese, Karen, Punjabi or Arabic is highly desirable

- Annual salary is $79,627 + 12% super

About the role:

If successful, you will be under the direction of the Senior Manager Community Development & Social Participation, identify opportunities to engage community organisations that will progress the social and economic inclusion of priority groups.



In partnership with community organisations identify target group needs and implement a range of social, economic, education and training activities or capacity building projects to meet these needs.

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:

- Degree qualification in community services or social sciences field; OR Minimum 5 years’ experience in community services, social sciences for event/project management (with some relevant professional development expected)
- Well -developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people including CALD communities, stakeholders (government, corporates) and to form community partnerships
- Well- developed written communication skills and in particular ability to write project reports
- Sound knowledge of community development principles and community engagement strategies and demonstrated skills and experience in engaging community organisations
- Good Project Management skills, including the demonstrated ability to organise projects from development to implementation, completion and evaluation.
- Positive Volunteer Management skills, including the demonstrated ability to operate within the National Volunteer Framework, and effectively recruit, onboard and supervise volunteers
- Ability to prepare and conduct presentations
- Well developed (intermediate )



computer skills – MS Office suite
- Aptitude to learn new systems both electronic and manual
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Strong working knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to EEO and OH&S; principles and practice
