Corporate Tax Manager / Assistant Manager l Melbourne

About the role:

As a key member of our Corporate Tax team, you’ll work alongside Partners and senior leaders to deliver commercially relevant tax advice.

Depending on your level of experience, you’ll have opportunities to:

- Prepare and review corporate income tax returns and tax effect accounting workpapers
- Provide practical, research-backed tax advice across a range of sectors and transactions
- Contribute to complex structuring, financing, and M&A; matters
- Draft clear and concise advice and reports that simplify complexity
- Manage and develop junior team members while delivering engagement outcomes and client relationships
- Identify opportunities to add value across multiple service lines

Assistant Manager:

- Around 4–5 years’ experience in a skilled services environment




- Strong understanding of corporate tax concepts (e.g., thin cap, consolidation, debt/equity, CDF)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to balance independence and teamwork

Manager:

- Around 5–7 years’ experience in tax advisory, ideally within professional services
- Confident leading client engagements and managing expectations
- Experience developing and mentoring team members
- Skilled at delivering pragmatic, commercially focused advice

Qualifications:

- Degree in Business, Commerce, or Finance with an Accounting major
- Completed CA or equivalent qualification
(Desirable: Double degree including Law, or Master of Taxation)
