We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at the family owned, newly renovated Bracken Ridge Tavern, a multi-faceted fast paced venue situated on Brisbanes's Northside.

This is a full-time position and you will be working at one of Brisbane's most iconic venues, Panama Jack's Steak & Rib House and Two Wise Guys Italian located within our award winning establishment.

We are seeking an individual with a passion for modern cuisine and experience working in a large venue.

Experience required to be considered for the role:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in high-volume char-grilling kitchen
- Available to work according to business requirements
- Ability to deliver a consistently high quality dining experience for our patrons
- Excellent knowledge of food hygiene plans and standards, HACCP and food safty
- A positive attitude with a robust work ethic and effective communication skills
- Work well in a fast-paced environment with a good temperament

Responsibilities:

- Preparation, cooking and presentation of all food items within the kitchen
- Responsible for the overall cleanliness and presentation of the kitchen
- Requisition, storage, control and ordering of stock
- Care and maintenance of equipment
- Assisting in Menu planning
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety practices
- Responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen
- Assisting in the cleaning of the kitchen including washing up
- Attend on and off job training as required
