About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and reliable Cook to join our Residential Aged Care team in Home Hill. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that meet the dietary and cultural needs of elderly residents while maintaining exceptional food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present meals in accordance with approved menus and dietary requirements.
- Cater for texture-modified diets and special nutritional needs.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen in accordance with food safety standards.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation.
- Ensure food is stored, handled and prepared safely.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to support resident wellbeing.
- Comply with workplace health and safety and infection control procedures.
- Assist with menu planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

High Regarded
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1 year experience working as a Cook, Commercial Cook, or Kitchen Cook Applicants with demonstrated commercial cooking experience, including experience in aged care, healthcare or hospitality environments, are encouraged to apply.
Training and support may be provided to the right candidate. Where required by law or the employer's policies, successful applicants may be required to obtain a National Police Check and complete food safety training before commencing employment.
