Organisational Relationship: Responsible Head of Teaching and Learning

The Head of Faculty plays a pivotal role in monitoring and maintaining current assessment practices and ensuring that high academic standards are inherent in every subject within their area of responsibility.

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate strong Christian values and to have held significant leadership positions. The Head of Faculty be an innovative educator, who collaborates well with others and enjoys being part of a dynamic and progressive team of educational leaders.

Key Selection Criteria

- An active Christian faith and willingness to uphold the ethos of the Lutheran Church of Australia
- Evidence of capacity to contribute to, and uphold, the positive Lakeside College staff culture
- An up-to-date knowledge of state and national curriculum along with comprehensive knowledge of specific subject content for Years 7-12
- Capacity to reflect critically upon their professional practice
- Highly developed ability to establish and develop positive and constructive relationships with students, staff, parents and members of the wider community
- Commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities as a member of the College team
- Demonstrated ability to uphold a Childsafe culture
