Key Responsibilities:
- Providestrategic and operational leadership for the service, ensuringsafe, high-quality, consumer-focused care and positiveorganisational outcomes.
- Lead andsupport multidisciplinary teams through advanced clinicalexpertise, professional guidance and effective workforcemanagement.
- Managehuman, financial and material resources, including staffing,recruitment, performance management and budgetaccountability.
- Driveclinical governance, quality improvement and patient safetyinitiatives, ensuring compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and organisationalpolicies.
- Developand maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across theorganisation, fostering collaboration, service excellence andcontinuous improvement.
To be successful inthis role, you will have:
- Currenteligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with advancedclinical experience in maternity and/or acute inpatientcare.
- Demonstrated leadershipexperience, including the ability to effectively manage staff,resources and day-to-day service delivery.
- Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability tobuild productive relationships and work collaboratively acrossmultidisciplinary teams.
- Experience contributingto quality improvement, clinical governance, servicedevelopment and the successful implementation of changeinitiatives.
- Soundunderstanding of relevant healthcare legislation, workplacesafety and equity principles, with a current (or eligible) C orC-A Class Driver's Licence.

Area Profile
The Goldfields region of theWA Country Health Service covers the Goldfields-Esperance Region of Western Australia. The region is located in the south easterncorner of Western Australia and covers 770,488 sq km (includingoffshore islands). The WA Country Health Service Goldfieldsconsists of two main health campuses located in Kalgoorlie &Esperance;, and three smaller hospitals located in Laverton,Leonora, and Norseman.
The Goldfields is a culturally rich regionwith a number of Aboriginal communities spread out across theregion, 16 distinct Aboriginal language groups and an Aboriginalpopulation that represents 12.3 per cent of our total population,with 1 in 10 people, on average, identifying as Aboriginal – thisin comparison to the state average of 3.6 per cent. The regionsupports a wide range of industry, including mining, agriculture,aquaculture, and tourism.
Mining is the predominant sector in thecentral and northern parts of the region, with a well-establishedagricultural sector in the south.
