Annual salary of $85,323.45 + Statutory Superannuation (General Officer, Level 3)

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is an inner eastern metropolitan Council, nestled on the outskirts of the CBD. The area enjoys a reputation as one of Adelaide’s most desirable places to live, work, study and visit.

We are seeking an energetic, highly organised candidate who loves solving problems and has an eye for detail to join our team. This is an ideal position for an entry level employee, who will play an important role in keeping the Council’s information accurate, accessible and compliant.

You will apply your technical expertise and knowledge of legislation to our document management system while supporting staff with best-practice record keeping. From improving data quality and digitising records to coordinating archiving activities and providing practical advice, no two days are the same. The Role

Reporting to the Corporate Records Specialist, the Information Management Officer, Records is responsible for the efficient management of Council records, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulatory standards, as well as meeting the Council's corporate records policies and procedures.

About You





To be successful in this position you will be an organised, autonomous individual with a high level of attention to detail who possess the following skills and experience:

- Experience in a records/information management role delivering a range of basic records and information services, including capture and classification, description and data entry, record appraisal, sentencing and disposal

- Knowledge of the State Records Act 1997, Local Government General Disposal Schedule and other legislation and standards relating to Records Management.

- Experience in EDRMS, IT systems, and workflows

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

- Understands and utilises business process analysis to identify inefficiencies and improve processes

- A relevant qualification in the field (desirable)

- Experience within Local Government (desirable)
