As a result of our continued success, we are looking for a Day or Afternoon Shift Plasma Operator to join our Hope Valley Workshop.
Job tasks and responsibilities
• You will be part of a team including Operators and Programmers and you will be operating a Kinetic K5000 machine.
• Communicating with programmers for fault finding and best processes for optimal cutting.
• Load/unload CNC plasma programs.
• Overhead crane use to load steel plate on/off the plasma bed.
• Forklift use to move steel plates.
• Changing cutting and drilling tools during operation.
• Interpreting work orders and prioritizing based on due date and material.
• Communicating effectively with TA’s, programmers and other operators.
• Keeping work area clean and tidy.
Skills, experience and key features
• Can do Attitude.
• Relevant experience with CNC operating.
• Previous Operating experience on Kinetic machines is highly advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience.
• Strong understanding of CNC – machining tools.
• Able to plan and discuss the most efficient machine set up.
