Procurement Officer – Full Time Preferred | Part Time & Flexible and School Hours Considered

Hart Marine is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Officer to join our growing team, manufacturing world-class fibreglass Pilot Boats, Police Vessels and other specialised commercial vessels.

With increasing demand both in Australia and internationally, we are looking for a highly organised and proactive person to take ownership of purchasing across our boat builds and factory operations. This is a key role that helps keep our projects running smoothly by ensuring the right materials arrive at the right time.

Flexible working arrangements are available, with full-time preferred, however part-time hours will be considered for the right applicant.

Duties include the following:

- Manage purchasing and procurement for multiple vessel builds and factory operations.

- Source materials, equipment and services from local and international suppliers.

- Obtain quotations and negotiate pricing and delivery timeframes.

- Raise purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records.

- Monitor inventory levels and ensure critical stock is maintained.





- Coordinate deliveries to ensure production schedules are met.

- Build and maintain solid relationships with suppliers.

- Work closely with production, project managers and accounts to ensure efficient purchasing processes.

- Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following:

- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain is essential.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- High attention to detail and strong administrative skills.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a dynamic team.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience using purchasing or ERP systems highly regarded.

- Microsoft Dynamics or similar experience is also highly regarded but not essential.

- Experience within manufacturing, marine or industrial industries will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Hart Marine is located in Somerville at Yaringa Boat Harbour, in close proximity to Koo Wee Rup, Langwarrin, Pearcedale, Tyabb, Hastings, Crib Point, Balnarring, Red Hill and Flinders, as well as Rye, Dromana, Mount Martha and the Bayside suburbs of Frankston, Seaford, Carrum Downs, Patterson Lakes and Mordialloc.
