Position Overview
The Gold Coast region is a current territory for ECA and provides an exciting career opportunity for an entrepreneurial and business-growth specialist to build a small team around them as they grow our presence in the region.
This position is a contract-based role (reviewed after twelve-months) and will focus developing positive relationships with key stakeholders and building ECA’s contribution to current and future skills development across the Gold Coast.
The Regional Manager (RM) will be responsible for ensuring excellence in Group Training service delivery across the Gold Coast and be accountable for achieving set ECA goals that will enable ongoing organisational success.
The nature of the role requires the successful candidate to base themselves in our newly established office in Southport whilst spending a good amount of time out on-the-road meeting with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the Gold Coast region, strengthening the ECA brand and facilitating the achievement of outlined KPIs and organisational objectives.
- Ensure apprentices and trainees within the Gold Coast region are well-supported, engaged, and successfully placed within relevant host employment and training organisations to maximise future employment opportunities.
- Proactively participate in development of strategies to achieve retention and market growth,
specifically identifying new opportunities to increase apprenticeship and traineeship placements in the Gold Coast region.
- Contribute actively to budgeting, forecasting and recording of revenue, expenses, asset and liability management within the Gold Coast region.
- Develop and deliver operational plans aligned with ECA’s strategic plan, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of Group Training services on the Gold Coast.
- Maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders on the Gold Coast including educational institutions, Registered Training Organisations and schools.
- Engage in risk management strategies to ensure that all operational processes minimise risk and reinforce ECA’s position as a premium GTO within the market.
Experience & Skills
Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in business development, including previous operational leadership experience. Exposure to vocational education and training and understanding of the apprentice and trainee system highly regarded. Holding a degree in Business Management or a related field is highly desirable.
Possessing strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with various industry stakeholders, will be needed. You will be results-driven, with a commitment to continuous improvement, compliance with regulatory/WHS requirements and industry-best practices.
