We are seeking a highly experienced Truck & Dog Driver to join our dedicated team at Garden Gear (Bulk Haulage Division).This full time position is based in Fyshwick, ACT.
What you'll be doing
- Safely operate heavy combination Truck and Dog, to deliver goods to customers in a timely manner
- Perform daily pre-start vehicle inspections and report any issues
- Ensure safe loading, transportation and unloading of materials
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Adhere to all relevant road safety laws and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service to clients
- Assist with general maintenance and yard duties as required
What we're looking for
- A valid HC driver's licence with a proven secure driving record
- Extensive experience operating heavy combination vehicles (Truck and Dog experience necessary)
- Strong knowledge of road rules and safe driving practices
- Attention to detail, cleanliness and commitment to safety
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently and part of a team
- Reliable and punctual with a positive, can-do attitude
- The ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings.
