Lorrequer Wealth and Advisory

Adelaide

About Us

Lorrequer Wealth & Advisory is a boutique financial advice firm based in Adelaide, known for providing exceptionally high-quality, personalised client service. We take a holistic approach to our clients’ financial lives, covering areas such as investments, superannuation, wealth planning, cash flow, retirement planning, insurance, aged care and tax planning.

Our client base has been built through referrals from existing clients and trusted professional contacts, reflecting the depth of trust our clients place in us and the standard of care we aim to deliver in everything we do.

About the Role

We are looking for a Paraplanning Assistant to support the delivery of our annual review process for ongoing wealth advice clients. This is a casual role that would suit a university student who is interested in financial advice, paraplanning, wealth management or a related career path.

You will work alongside our in-house and outsourced paraplanning teams to help coordinate the planning, tracking and timely completion of annual review reports each month. These reports are detailed and tailored to each client’s individual circumstances, so the role requires robust attention to detail, organisation and sound judgement.

The role is based in our Adelaide office, with preferred hours during business hours. Some flexibility is available, including half days or adjusted hours, such as 8:00am–4:00pm, around university commitments.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

- Coordinate the monthly annual review process for ongoing wealth advice clients.

- Work closely with in-house and outsourced paraplanning team members.

- Plan and track client review meetings and report progress for the month.

- Help ensure annual review reports are completed accurately and within required timeframes.

- Review and check report and advice documents for accuracy and completeness, once trained in our internal processes and standards.

- Liaise with advisers and team members to ensure reports are appropriate for each client’s circumstances.

- Hold regular meetings with outsourced team members to discuss progress, provide guidance and help resolve queries.

- Maintain clear oversight of multiple reports in progress.

What You Will Gain

This is a great opportunity to gain genuine exposure to the financial advice industry and develop practical skills in a supportive team environment.

You will gain:

- Real-world exposure to financial advice and client strategy work.

- The opportunity to work closely with experienced advisers and paraplanners.

- Development of technical skills across wealth advice, superannuation and investment reporting.

- Mentoring and structured training in paraplanning processes.

- A potential pathway to a longer-term or permanent role as you progress through, or complete, your studies.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and takes pride in getting the details right. Prior experience in financial planning will be looked upon favourably,

but is not required, as full training will be provided.

You will be well suited to this role if you have:

- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

- The ability to find information, work through issues and know when to ask questions.

- Good judgement and adaptability.

- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

- Clear and confident communication skills.

- A careful and respectful approach to client data security and privacy.

- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support others.

- A genuine interest in financial advice, paraplanning, wealth management or a related field.

This role would ideally suit someone currently studying a business, finance, commerce or related university degree, with availability for approximately three days per week during business hours.

Systems & Tools

You will use:

- CRM software – full training provided.

- Microsoft Office suite – a high level of proficiency is required.

- Xplan – experience is advantageous, but not essential.

Eligibility

To be considered for this role, you must have the right to work in Australia. An interest in pursuing a career in financial advice or paraplanning is useful, but not essential.

Upon successful offer of employment, a National Police Check will be required.

How to Apply

To apply, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your availability and why you are interested in the role.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide a short video answering some further questions and may then progress to an in-office interview.
