About Us

WA Tiling and Stone is a well-established commercial tiling contractor specialising in the quality installation of floor and wall tiles and natural stone across Western Australia. We deliver a wide range of tiling solutions — both internally and externally — including ceramic, porcelain, glass mosaic and natural stone installations across commercial, industrial and residential projects.

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

This is a hands-on trade position requiring a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience as a qualified Wall and Floor Tiler. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality tiling installations across a range of commercial projects, working both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

the successful candidate will be required to perform the following tasks:

• Examine and interpret plans, drawings and specifications; measure, mark out and set up work areas prior to commencement

• Prepare wall and floor substrates for tiling by removing residual grout, adhesive and other unsuitable materials, repairing imperfections, and ensuring surfaces are clean, stable and level for tile application.

• Apply waterproofing membranes and treatments to surfaces as required

• Mix and apply adhesives, cement-based mortars and screeds to prepared surfaces using appropriate techniques

• Set tiles in position accurately, ensuring correct alignment, spacing and levelness

• Use hand and power tools to cut, shape and fit ceramic, porcelain, terrazzo, glass mosaic and natural stone tiles to fit edges, corners and around fixtures, fittings and pipes





• Apply grout to filled joints; clean and finish tiled surfaces to the required standard

• Install tile strips and trim pieces to create decorative tile patterns and neat edge finishes

• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with plans, quality standards and relevant building codes

• Maintain a clean, protected and organised work site at all times

• Liaise effectively with site supervisors, project managers and other trades on site

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler

• Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or equivalent — highly regarded

• Demonstrated experience with a range of materials including ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, glass mosaic and terrazzo

• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and technical specifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a commercial setting

• Good communication and time management skills

• Valid Construction Industry White Card (General Induction)

• Driver's licence

• Right to work in Australia
