Malone's Butchery is seeking a Butcher Trade qualified professional to join our team in Port Douglas, QLD.

This Position is for a Fully competent butcher, breaking lamb, cutting displays, sausages all to high standard, Punctuality is essential. Call Todd Malone 04•••••098.

2 rosters Available,

Roster 1 - 4 day week 6AM-6pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday , Sunday.

Gross = $1,880.00

After Tax (Take Home Pay) (Tax = $420.00) = $1,460.00

Plus superannuation (based on ordinary hours only) = $182.40

Breakdown 38 hours @ $40.00 = $1,520.00

6 hours O/T @ $60.00 = $420.00

Roster 2

-4 day week. 6AM- 6PM Monday, Tuesday , Wednesday , Thursday.

Gross = $1,645.00

After Tax (Take Home Pay) (Tax = $345.00) = $1,300.00

Plus superannuation (based on ordinary hours only) = $159.60

Breakdown 38 hours @ $35.00 = $1,330.00

6 hours O/T @ $52.50 = $315.00

This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to work within a respected butchery business, utilising your skilled trade qualifications in a dynamic and customer-focused environment. You will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of quality and craftsmanship that define our business, whilst contributing to our reputation as a trusted local butcher.

Key responsibilities

As a Trade qualified Butcher, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:





- Preparing, cutting and processing high-quality meat products to precise specifications and industry standards

- Maintaining strict hygiene and food safety protocols in line with health and safety regulations

- Creating specialty cuts and customised orders to meet customer requirements

- Ensuring all equipment is properly maintained

- Assisting with stock management, rotation and ordering of supplies

- Providing excellent customer service and advice on meat selection and preparation

- Displaying and merchandising products attractively to promote sales

- Contributing to a clean, organised and efficient working environment

- Supporting the broader team to maintain business operations and quality standards

What we're looking for

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- Current or completed formal butchery trade qualification recognised in Australia

- Proven experience working as a qualified butcher in a professional butchery or food preparation environment

- Strong knowledge of meat cuts, quality grades and processing techniques

- Demonstrated commitment to food safety, hygiene and health and safety compliance

- Physical capability to perform the demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items

- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistently high-quality products





- Reliable, professional attitude with a robust work ethic

- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach

- Experience in a retail or customer-facing butchery environment is highly valued
