Hotel Maintenance person — Part Time

Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 1:30pm

About the Role

Are you a hands-on all-rounder who takes pride in keeping a property running smoothly? We're looking for a reliable Maintenance person to join our hotel team and play a key role in keeping our guest rooms, public areas, and facilities safe, functional, and looking their best.

This is a practical, varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be the go-to person for repairs and upkeep across the property, working closely with housekeeping, front office, and guests to resolve issues quickly and professionally — all while enjoying family-friendly part-time hours with your afternoons free.

What You'll Be Doing

- Responding promptly to maintenance requests from guests, housekeeping, and front office, prioritising urgent issues in occupied rooms

- Repairing plumbing fixtures (taps, toilets, showers, drains) and electrical fittings (lamps, switches, outlets)

- Maintaining doors, locks, furniture, curtains, blinds, and fixtures throughout the property

- Painting, patching, tiling, grouting, and caulking as needed





- Carrying out the hotel's scheduled preventative maintenance program across guest rooms, plant equipment, and public areas

- Conducting regular inspections and documenting and correcting deficiencies

- Keeping accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment records

- Coordinating with external service contractors when specialist work is required

What We're Looking For

- Practical, proven skills across multiple trades — plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting

- A courteous, guest-focused manner and a professional presentation

- Reliability and the ability to work independently, managing your own priorities

- Confidence using hand and power tools, ladders, and maintenance chemicals safely with appropriate PPE

- Positive record-keeping habits and attention to detail

Highly regarded: A trade certificate or licence in a relevant field (e.g. electrical or plumbing)
