Scotch Oakburn College is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Health & Physical Education to join our team at the Penquite Campus in Launceston. Commencing in Term 4, 2026 until 25 June 2027 this full-time, maximum term position offers an exciting chance for an experienced educator to make a meaningful impact in the field of Health & Physical Education. As a Teacher of Health & Physical Education, you will be responsible for:

- Developing and delivering engaging and comprehensive Health & Physical Education curriculum to students.
- Implementing innovative teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters students' physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their continuous development.
- Collaborating with colleagues within the Health & Physical Education department to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Participating in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of current trends and best practices in Health & Physical Education.
- Contributing to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, events, and initiatives.





The successful candidate will possess:

- A recognised teaching qualification coupled with relevant experience in Health & Physical Education.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pedagogies and approaches within the field of Health & Physical Education.
- An ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- An understanding of assessment principles and practices aimed at supporting student learning outcomes.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset essential for effective teamwork within the department and across the school community.
