About the RoleThe Finance and Accounting department is responsible for the timely provision and analysis of financial information to all business units and to assist them in achieving their objectives. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and acting on financial information to support various departments.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Month end and year-end financial closingPreparing of monthly reconciliationsDistributing month end reportsInvolvement in the preparation of annual budgetsLiaising with and providing accounting support to Operational ManagersAssisting with the annual audit processReview credit card transaction coding and journal postingsProcess payroll entries and reconcile payroll accountsReviewing of weekly and monthly EFTsProviding support to the Financial Controller and Accounting Manager

Your SkillsYou will need to bring your exceptional Accounting skills to the fore. This includes:Degree within Accounting disciplineCA / CPA Qualification or currently working towardsProficient Excel skillsAt least 1 year experience as an Assistant Accountant in a medium to large organisation (preferred)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent time management and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environment
