About Us

Neo Interior Design is an award-winning residential interior design studio specialising in high-end homes, cosmetic renovations, bespoke cabinetry and complete furniture fit-outs across Perth.

We believe exceptional design is only part of the journey. What truly sets us apart is the experience we create for our clients. From concept to completion, we pride ourselves on delivering beautiful homes through outstanding communication, organisation and attention to detail.

As our studio continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Studio Project Manager to become the operational heartbeat of our business.

This is one of the most important roles within our studio. You’ll play a key part in ensuring every project runs smoothly, every client feels supported and every detail is delivered to the high standards Neo is known for.

About the Role

This is not a traditional construction Project Manager role.

Our builders manage structural renovations and major construction projects. Your focus will be on managing Neo’s residential interior design projects, cosmetic renovations, bespoke cabinetry, furniture procurement and installations from design approval through to completion.

The role is primarily studio-based, with occasional site visits to meet clients, trades and suppliers.

We’re not looking for someone to simply coordinate projects—we’re looking for someone who takes ownership.

You’ll be responsible for keeping projects moving, ensuring timelines are met, budgets are monitored, suppliers and trades are coordinated, clients receive exceptional communication and, most importantly, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

If you thrive on organisation, enjoy juggling multiple moving parts and genuinely love creating order from complexity, we’d love to hear from you.

Our Values

At Neo, culture is just as important as capability.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely lives our values every day.

Communication

We communicate openly, professionally and proactively with our clients, suppliers and each other.

Accountability

We take ownership, follow through on our commitments and do what we say we’ll do.

Teamwork

We support one another, collaborate openly and work together to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Trust

We build trust through honesty, reliability, consistency and delivering on our promises.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage multiple residential interior design and cosmetic renovation projects simultaneously.

- Create, maintain and proactively manage project timelines.

- Ensure projects remain aligned with client contracts,

budgets and key milestones.

- Coordinate cosmetic renovation works with our trusted trades.

- Liaise with builders where required to ensure seamless collaboration.

- Coordinate bespoke cabinetry, furniture procurement and installation schedules.

- Monitor supplier lead times and proactively resolve delays before they impact projects.

- Schedule and coordinate trades, installers and suppliers.

- Lead weekly project reviews and maintain project action lists.

- Delegate tasks across the team and ensure they are completed on time.

- Follow up on outstanding actions until they are resolved.

- Drive project momentum by identifying potential delays early and implementing practical solutions.

- Maintain accurate project documentation, budgets, timelines, variations and client communications.

- Keep Monday.com & Programma, updated so every project reflects its current status.

- Deliver exceptional client communication throughout every stage of the project.

- Continuously improve systems, workflows and processes as the business grows.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who can confidently step into this role with minimal training.

You’ll ideally have:

- Previous experience managing residential interior design, cabinetry, kitchen, renovation or residential building projects.

- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.

- Outstanding documentation and administration skills.

- Strong experience coordinating suppliers, trades and installers.

- Excellent written and verbal communication.

- Experience using Monday.com or similar project management software.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to think several steps ahead.

- Confidence holding yourself and others accountable while maintaining positive working relationships.

- The ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- A proactive mindset that focuses on solutions rather than problems.

Preferred:

- Qualification in Project Management, Interior Design or a related field.

- Experience working within a residential interior design studio, cabinetry company,

renovation business or architectural practice.

This Role is For You If…

✔ You naturally take ownership and don’t wait to be asked.

✔ You love creating order from complexity.

✔ You genuinely enjoy juggling multiple moving parts.

✔ You’re proactive and solve problems before they become bigger issues.

✔ You’re highly organised and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

✔ You enjoy following up with people and ensuring commitments are met.

✔ You communicate confidently with clients, suppliers and trades.

✔ You enjoy improving systems and finding better ways of working.

✔ You genuinely care about delivering an exceptional client experience.

This Role is NOT For You If…

You need constant direction or reminders.

You struggle with managing multiple priorities.

You let details slip through the cracks.

You avoid following up with people or having accountability conversations.

You prefer reacting to problems rather than preventing them.

You become overwhelmed juggling multiple moving parts.

You’re looking for a construction site-based Project Manager role.

You don’t enjoy documenting everything thoroughly and keeping projects organised.

What We Offer

At Neo Interior Design, you’ll become part of a passionate, supportive and high-performing team that’s committed to delivering exceptional homes and an outstanding client experience.

We offer:

- The opportunity to work on some of Perth’s most beautiful residential homes.

- A genuine leadership role where you’ll have ownership and autonomy.

- A supportive and collaborative team culture.

- Ongoing professional development and career growth.

- The opportunity to help shape systems and processes as our business continues to grow.

- A modern studio workplace based in Attadale.

Ready to Apply?

If you’re an experienced Project Manager who loves organisation, takes ownership and thrives in a fast-paced design environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Please submit:

- Your resume.

- A cover letter telling us why you’re the right fit for this role.

As part of your application, we’d also love you to answer the following question:

Tell us about a project where several things went wrong at once. How did you regain control, communicate with stakeholders and ensure the project was successfully delivered?

Only applicants with previous experience managing residential interior design, cabinetry, renovation or similar projects will be considered.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.
