About the role

Ochre Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Multi-Skilled Operator to join our team in Blackwater, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the operations of our construction and plant machinery division. As a Multi-Skilled Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various types of equipment This role is essential to maintaining productivity and safety standards across our operations, and you will work on-site in Blackwater, QLD 4717.

Key responsibilities

- Operate a variety of machinery equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer specifications and site safety requirements

- Conduct pre-operation inspections and maintenance checks on all assigned plant and equipment to ensure they are in safe working order

- Perform routine maintenance tasks including greasing, oil changes, and minor repairs as required

- Communicate effectively with supervisors, site managers and other team members to coordinate work activities and ensure smooth site operations

- Maintain detailed records and logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities and any incidents or damage

- Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times

- Identify potential hazards and report safety concerns immediately to management

- Assist with the movement and positioning of equipment and materials on construction sites

- Adapt to different types of machinery and equipment as required by project needs

What we're looking for

- Proven experience on at least excavator, grader and loader

- Current and valid licences or certifications for the above equipment

- Demonstrated ability to operate multiple types of plant and machinery safely and competently





- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices and a genuine commitment to safe work practices

- Ability to read and interpret site plans, drawings and operational manuals

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team

- Physical fitness and the ability to work in outdoor construction environments and varying weather conditions

- Attention to detail and reliability in carrying out tasks and maintaining equipment logs

- Mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills

- Preferably 3+ years of relevant experience in plant operation

- Experience with GPS-guided machinery or modern construction technology is desirable
