The Role

Undertake acceptance testing, calibration, maintenance, repair, function and safety testing of medical equipment in all public health facilities within the DoH.Interpret relevant policies and perform routine quality assurance and safety testing on all medical equipment throughout the DoH facilities in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and Therapeutic Goods Administration regulations.Provide technical support and education to health professionals in the operational and functional use of the wide range of medical equipment found in a tertiary referral teaching Hospital.

You will need

Broad technical and working knowledge of medical equipment typically found in a tertiary referral hospital.Understanding of the principles of Electronic Engineering and Information Technology, and demonstrated understanding and recognised experience in electronic fault finding and repair, including computer controlled systems and devices.Demonstrate high level communication and problem solving skills, and an ability to consult with a range of health care workers at all levels.

Details of appointment

Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight,



commencing as soon as possible up to 31 July 2027.

Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary

$102,027 to $106,985 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025.

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Electronic or Electrical Engineering from a recognised TAFE institution or an equivalent qualification, appropriate to the nature of the work.

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

Eligible for officer level membership of the Institution of Engineers AustraliaPrevious experience in the Health Care Industry.Current Driver’s Licence
