About the Role

We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk to join our Materials team.

Reporting to the Materials Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the hotel's purchasing, receiving and inventory operations. You will ensure purchase orders are processed accurately, deliveries are coordinated efficiently, inventory systems are maintained, and hotel departments receive the supplies they need to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys administration, working with systems, and building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Some of the responsibilities include:

- Process purchase orders and maintain purchasing records using BirchStreet and iScala.

- Coordinate supplier orders, deliveries and receiving activities.





- Monitor outstanding purchase orders and follow up on delivery schedules.

- Ensure invoices and delivery documentation are accurately processed.

- Assist with inventory administration, stock control and maintaining par levels.

- Support the smooth movement of goods throughout the hotel.

- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely supply of products.

- Assist the Materials Manager with purchasing and inventory administration.

- Ensure purchasing, receiving and storage procedures comply with Hyatt standards and hotel policies.

Qualification

Ideally, you will have:

- Previous experience in purchasing, stores, inventory, administration or a similar support role.

- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

- Valuable computer skills with the ability to learn inventory and purchasing systems (experience with BirchStreet or iScala is advantageous but not essential).

- The ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
