We are looking for an experienced and reliable Civil Construction Drainer & Machine Operator to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role working on a variety of civil construction projects, including Subdivisions, stormwater, sewer, water, and drainage infrastructure.
The successful applicant will be confident operating machinery, installing drainage systems, and working safely as part of a productive crew.
Key Responsibilities
- Install stormwater, sewer, and drainage infrastructure.
- Operate excavators and other civil construction machinery.
- Read and interpret construction plans and set out works.
- Conduct daily pre-start checks and basic machine maintenance.
- Maintain a safe and compliant worksite.
- Work effectively within a team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in civil construction and drainage.
- Competent excavator operator.
- Knowledge of underground service systems
- Current Construction White Card.
- Current driver's licence (HR licence advantageous).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Strong understanding of safe work practices.
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable
- Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets.
- Excavator, skid steer, roller, or loader competencies.
- First Aid certificate.
- Experience with GPS machine guidance systems.
