Virtus is seeking an experienced Industrial / Fixed Plant Electrician to join an established maintenance team at a Pilbara mining operation.

We already have guys working at the operation, and the feedback from them has been genuinely positive. This is a outstanding opportunity for someone looking for stable, ongoing work rather than continually moving between short-term backfill roles.

You will work an 8/6, 7/7 DS NS, carrying out planned and breakdown electrical maintenance across fixed plant equipment and associated site infrastructure.

The Position

You will play an important role in maintaining the reliability and availability of fixed plant equipment across the operation.

Your work will include:

- Planned and preventative electrical maintenance

- Electrical fault-finding, diagnostics and repairs

- Breakdown response and equipment recovery

- Maintenance of crushing, conveying, screening and processing equipment

- Working with motors, pumps, control systems, instrumentation and associated electrical infrastructure

What You Need

- Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification

- Current WA Electrical Worker’s Licence

- Experience from Gold or Lithium site preferred

- Mine-site fixed plant experience - commissioning and start-up experience, PLC and automation fault-finding, instrumentation testing and calibration, crushers, conveyors, pumps and processing plant experience

- Current Australian driver’s licence

- Full Australian working rights
