About the role

POWINS Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and energetic Workshop & Store Assistant to join our team in Forrestdale, WA. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our warehouse, storage and distribution facilities. You will be instrumental in maintaining our workshop and storage areas, ensuring inventory is well-organised, and supporting our team with day-to-day operational tasks. This position offers the opportunity to develop valuable skills in a fast-paced logistics and warehousing environment whilst contributing directly to the efficiency of our operations.

Key responsibilities

- Maintaining cleanliness, organisation and safety standards within the workshop and storage areas

- Receiving, checking and storing incoming inventory according to established procedures

- Assisting with picking and packing orders for dispatch to customers

- Operating warehouse equipment and machinery safely and efficiently, including forklifts where appropriately trained

- Conducting regular stock checks and assisting with inventory management systems

- Supporting the maintenance of workshop tools and equipment

- Loading and unloading vehicles and materials as required

- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company protocols

- Reporting any damaged goods, discrepancies or safety concerns to management

- Contributing to a collaborative team environment and supporting colleagues as needed

What we're looking for

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks regularly, including lifting and carrying items

- Reliability and solid attendance record with a commitment to punctuality

- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for recording inventory and documentation





- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly

- Experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment, or similar role (preferred but not essential)

- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification (desirable)

- Health and Safety awareness and commitment to working safely at all times

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities

- Attention to detail and organisational skills

- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules
