About the role
Opportunities to help open a brand-new leisure facility are rare.
Swan Active Ellenbrook will become a flagship community destination and a key hub for recreation, health and wellbeing in Perth's north-east. We are seeking a passionate and energetic leader to join the foundation leadership team and help shape the people, culture and customer experience that will define the facility for years to come.
Reporting to the Leisure Centre Manager, the Leisure Centre Coordinator will play a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life, leading service delivery across multiple program areas while driving operational excellence, community engagement and continuous improvement in one of Western Australia's newest and most exciting leisure facilities.
Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to;
- An ability to inspire, engage and develop high-performing teams while building a positive workplace culture and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Substantial experience supervising and coordinating leisure facility staff, activities and operations across multiple program and service areas.
- Strong financial and business acumen, including experience managing budgets, resources and operational performance.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, customers and community stakeholders and lead teams through change.
- The ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on and operationally focused.

You will bring strong operational leadership experience, a passion for customer service excellence and a commitment to developing people and communities.
The successful candidate will also have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Movement, Leisure Science, Business Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Current Pool Managers Certificate
- Aquatic Industry Accreditation
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
- A current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance

The salary for this position will be from $97,690.06 to $116,436.70 per annum depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
