Painting Supervisors

Kalgoorlie | 2.1 Roster | FIFO ex Perth | 12 Month + contract

We are seeking an experienced industrial Painting Supervisors to join a major project based in Kalgoorlie.

This is an exciting chance to play a key role in the successful delivery of a significant project while working alongside a high-performing projects team.

Scope of Work
The Industrial Painting Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of industrial protective coating, abrasive blasting, and painting activities across mining, mineral processing, and heavy industrial facilities. The role provides frontline leadership to painting crews during shutdowns, maintenance, sustaining capital projects, and brownfield construction works while ensuring compliance with client specifications, Australian Standards, and site safety requirements. The supervisor is accountable for workforce leadership, quality assurance, productivity, planning, client liaison, and ensuring all coating systems are applied in accordance with project specifications and manufacturer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise industrial painting, abrasive blasting and protective coating activities.
• Coordinate shutdown and maintenance work to meet critical path schedules.
• Allocate labour, equipment and materials to maximise productivity
• Monitor work progress against project schedules and budgets.
• Ensure works are completed safely, on time and within specification.
• Participate in planning meetings and daily shutdown coordination meetings.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.

• Ensure all coating applications comply with:

- AS/NZS Standards
- ISO standards o Client coating specifications
- Manufacturer Technical Data Sheets

• Complete QA documentation and inspection records.
• Review work packs and drawings.
• Assist planners with estimating labour hours.




• Coordinate equipment and consumable requirements.
• Liaise with:

- Mechanical supervisors
- Scaffold supervisors
- Electrical supervisors
- Client representatives

To be successful for this position

- Trade Qualification in Industrial Painting or Protective Coatings (preferred)
- White Card
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- Gas Test Atmospheres (desirable)
- High Risk Work Licence (EWP, Forklift or Dogging advantageous)
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence
- National Police Clearance (where required)
- Pre-employment Medical including Drug & Alcohol Screen
- Northern Star specific Inductions
