About the role

We are seeking several Activity Centre Guides to support the delivery of engaging and high-quality after-school programs within the Illawarra Grammar Junior School Activity Centre. The role focuses on fostering student curiosity, skill development,



and enjoyment, while providing a protected, supportive and inclusive environment. The Activity Centre Guides encourage students to explore new interests, build confidence, and develop their individual strengths.

Specific Accountabilities:

- Plan and deliver engaging, structured after-school activities one or two afternoons a week (Arts and Craft, Chess, Brain Quizzes, Board Games, Fitness Activities and Soccer)
- Support students in developing new skills across their specific activity
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all students
- Supervise students effectively, always ensuring their safety and wellbeing
- Build strong, respectful relationships with students
- Assist in the organisation and set-up of activity spaces and resources
- Support smooth transitions between school and activities
- Support students on carline at the end of the activity
- Liaise with the Director of Campus and the Activity Centre Coordinator

This position is casual, with the work primarily occurring in the afternoon from Monday to Thursday, during term time only. The exact hours will be discussed with the successful applicant.
