The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Plumbers Team Leader to lead our multi-trade teams on major industrial and commercial projects. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will deliver high-quality industrial plumbing services while managing teams, coordinating with project stakeholders, and driving project success.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise teams of plumbers and tradespeople on industrial plumbing, process pipework, gas, steam, and mechanical installations/projects.

- Provide expert industrial plumbing services, including large-scale installations, maintenance, repairs, drainage, high-capacity hot water systems, backflow prevention, grease traps, and stormwater solutions.

- Oversee project execution: manage daily tasks, ensure deadlines are met, monitor progress, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

- Coordinate closely with the Project Coordinator and other stakeholders to plan and roll out projects smoothly.

- Ensure all necessary paperwork, permits, compliance documentation, hydraulic designs, and submissions (e.g., to OTR) are prepared and ready before project commencement.

- Conduct site assessments, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for complex industrial systems.





- Mentor and develop team members, enforce WHS policies, and promote a strong safety and quality culture.

- Manage resources, materials, and subcontractors effectively to optimise efficiency and control costs.

- Support emergency call-outs and 24/7 response as required.

What You’ll Bring

- Trade Qualifications: Fully licensed A-Class Plumber and Gas Fitter (South Australia essential). Type B Gas Fitter accreditation highly regarded.

- Experience: Proven background as a leading hand or supervisor in industrial/commercial plumbing, process pipework, steam, or gas systems. Experience with factory fit-outs, boilers, and large-scale projects is a strong advantage.

- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and oversee teams while delivering projects on time and within budget.

- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of industrial plumbing systems, compliance standards (Plumbing Code of Australia, AS/NZS 3500), gas regulations, and multi-trade integration (electrical, steam, air).

- Project Management: Experience coordinating projects, preparing documentation, managing permits/inspections, and liaising with clients and internal teams.

- Other: White Card, valid driver’s licence, strong communication and organisational skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. Ability to travel regionally as needed.
