Step into a rewarding permanent part-time opportunity supporting people with disability within our Home & Living Services in the Batemans Bay - Eurobodalla region. We are seeking highly motivated and passionate individuals delivering person-centred care ensuring quality of life, dignity and respect for our participants.
About the role:
Our services operate on a 24/7 basis, with flexibility and availability to work a range of shifts in the morning, afternoon, evening and overnight. You will have a strong focus on building independent living skills by supporting participants in their own home as well as increasing participants social connections through community involvement and activities.
Whilst each day brings new challenges, the general roles and responsibilities include:
- Delivering personal care to participants including assisting with toileting and showering.
- Preparing and assisting with meal preparation within the home.
- Administering medication and assisting with mobility including hoists and wheelchairs.
- Supporting attendance at appointments and community-based events.
- Engaging in skill building activities for participants, both individually and in a group setting.
- Offering meaningful and active support to enable participants to achieve their goals.
What do I need to succeed in my role?
- Genuine desire to provide high-quality care and enable inclusion for people with disability.
- Strong verbal and written communication with proven computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment.
- Creativity to promote and support community contribution.
- Ideally, demonstrated awareness and/or experience with disability.
- Availability and flexibility to work a range of shifts over a 24/7 roster. Finding people with the right availability to match our participants is important to us.
- Have or a willingness to obtain NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check.
- Valid Australian Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
If you are successful for the role, you will be required to complete comprehensive and paid training run across a 2-week period upon commencement starting 3 September until 18 September 2026. This includes face-to-face sessions located in Batemans Bay, online components and buddy shifts to enable you to succeed in the role, requiring full availability during a 2-week period. Please note, these training sessions are set and there is limited availability to reschedule.

For this position, the part-time hourly rate is between $36.22 - $39.53 per hour (plus 12% superannuation) depending on relevant qualifications, skills and experience.
