We are seeking an enthusiastic, efficient and experienced medical secretary to provide office administration and front desk reception 2 days per week, between the hours of 8.30am - 4.30pm with set days & flexibility to cover holiday leave. The role requires a friendly and skilled attitude, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. You will have ideally worked in a Reception/Secretary role. Role could commence as early as late July 26.
Your Role will Include:
- Greeting patients with a professional, warm and friendly manner
- Diary and appointment management, including coordinating clinics and theatre lists
- Liaising with hospitals, anaesthetists, surgical assistants and external service providers.
- Answer phone calls promptly and professionally
- Billing for clinic appointments and hospital admissions
- Processing Medicare, private health fund & DVA claims
- General administration and daily office duties.
Essential Skills & qualities:
- Excellent customer service skills - you will be the first point of contact.
- 2 year minimum experience in a medical receptionist/secretarial role.
- Professional, warm & courteous manner
- Good computer skills & high level of attention to detail
- Confidence managing sensitive patient and clinical information
- The potential to work autonomously, use initiative, problem solve and have good time management skills.
- A genuine commitment to patient care
- You must be well presented
- Must be available for flexible hours (holiday leave) as required for this casual position
- Be an Australian citizen to be eligible for this position
