AIC Mines is entering an exciting period of growth across our North West Queensland operations, with Jericho Mine staging into production over the coming months. As we ramp up activity and prepare for this next stage, we are seeking experienced and safety-focused Underground Truck Operators to join our growing copper business.
Located near Cloncurry in North West Queensland, Eloise Copper Mine is an established underground operation producing high-grade copper concentrate. Together with the development of Jericho, Eloise forms an important part of AIC Mines’ growth strategy and offers the opportunity to join a robust operational team focused on safety, teamwork, performance and continuous improvement.
About the Role
Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of underground haul trucks to support production activities across the mine.
Key responsibilities include:
• Operating underground haul trucks safely and efficiently.
• Conducting pre-start inspections and reporting defects or maintenance requirements.
• Working closely with shift supervisors, bogger operators and other underground personnel.
• Following site procedures,
traffic management requirements and safety standards.
• Supporting a positive team culture and contributing to safe production outcomes.
The role follows a 15/13 day shift and 14/14 night shift roster, FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane. Bus commuting options are also available for local candidates from Cloncurry and surrounding communities.
Accommodation is provided onsite at Eloise Copper Mine, located approximately 65km from Cloncurry.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
• Have previous underground truck operating experience.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
• Be a reliable team player with good communication skills.
• Be available to work a 15/13 day shift and 14/14 night shift roster.
• Hold a manual QLD driver licence.
• Be physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical and police clearance.
