AIC Mines is entering an exciting period of growth across our North West Queensland operations, with Jericho Mine staging into production over the coming months.

Located near Cloncurry in North West Queensland, Eloise Copper Mine is an established underground operation producing high-grade copper concentrate. Together with the development of Jericho, Eloise forms an important part of AIC Mines’ growth strategy and offers the opportunity to join a solid operational team focused on safety, teamwork, performance and continuous improvement.

About the Role:

We seek an experienced Mechanical Fixed Plant Fitter to work within our Maintenance Department to make repairs to our fixed processing plant and underground equipment as required.

Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Supervisor you will work with mining and maintenance personnel to ensure equipment availability is optimised and asset management work is performed.

The core role requirements are:

- Preventative maintenance, repairs, refurbishments, and maintenance planning of pumps, other rotating equipment and plant.

- Monitor, follow up and address issues associated with planned and unplanned maintenance tasks.

- Build and assemble machinery.

- Interpret diagrams, drawings, specifications and plans.





- Diagnose and repair faults with tools and machinery and perform regular maintenance and inspections.

- Assemble items in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.

- Have the ability to perform in a team environment.

The position is offered on a 15/13 day and 14/14 night shift FIFO roster from Townsville. Local candidates from Cloncurry or surrounding communities can commute via bus from Cloncurry and are encouraged to apply.

Accommodation is provided onsite at the Eloise Copper Mine; 65km from Cloncurry.

About You:

- Trade qualified with a minimum of 4 years - post trade work experience.

- Experience working in remote areas and on mine sites.

- Manual QLD driver’s license.

- Physically fit and able to pass medical assessment and police clearance.

- A neat and tidy operator that takes pride in their work.

- Hold a high regard for safety by following safe working practices.
