As a Research Fellow, you will:
Work collaboratively with a dynamic research team to shape and execute ethnographic fieldwork, working within a project focused on the social dimensions of the energy transition and climate change.
Analyse and translate qualitative data into high-impact publications, as well as potentially creative outputs and actionable policy frameworks that speak directly to industry partners and communities.
Actively build your professional reputation by establishing cooperative, and interdisciplinary partnerships across Deakin and other universities, industry networks, and regional community stakeholders.
Enhance your post-PhD career by gaining experience in a cross-institutional team and contributing to team publications and events.
To be successful, you’ll have:
PhD in Anthropology or Geography and/or other relevant qualifications and experience
Emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications
Experience conducting ethnographic or qualitative research, including interviews, participant observation, fieldwork, and qualitative data analysis
Research experience relating to the energy transition, decarbonisation, climate change, environmental management, or related social and environmental issues
Ability to contribute to communities through research
Capacity to contribute to leadership of research and administration
Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues
