About the role
We are seeking an experienced full time Crane Operator looking to relocate or within 1 hour of a commute to Port Pirie. We offer a rewarding role, joining a highly skilled team, perfect for someone with a “can do attitude” and who wants to make the role their own.
DIDO roster prospects may be considered for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a 55-tonne Liebherr slew crane (automatic) safely and efficiently
Assist with various tasks including electrical, mechanical work, plumbing and fabrication
Operate and manage additional equipment as needed, including the 10-tonne Perry mobile crane (semi-automatic)
Contribute to a positive and productive work setting
Requirements:
Minimum C6 licence required (C1 and C0 also valid)
Proven experience in operating a 55-tonne slew crane
Familiarity with mining and process plant environments
Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence to drive the crane
Additional trade skills or operator tickets are highly regarded
Ability to assist with various tasks beyond crane operation
Additional Requirements:
Must be clean-shaven
Prepared to wear a respirator and overalls
Must pass medical examination to prove fitness for work
