Role DescriptionThe Maintenance Officer is a full time (or part time by negotiation) in office role based in Pasadena SA, responsible for ensuring that facilities are safe, functional, and well-presented.
Day-to-day tasks include carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance, performing routine inspections, and completing minor repairs. The role involves coordinating with external contractors when needed, maintaining equipment and tools, and adhering to safety and compliance standards.
The Maintenance Officer will also respond to maintenance requests from residents and staff in a timely manner, communicate clearly about work being undertaken,



and support the smooth operation of village facilities.

QualificationsCandidates should possess skills in preventative and corrective maintenance, and be able to diagnose issues and perform repairs; with the ability to solve problems independently.Candidates should possess strong communication skills to interact respectfully with residents and staff, explain maintenance work, and coordinate with contractors.Relevant experience in building or facility maintenance, particularly in retirement living or aged care settings, is highly beneficial.Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and the ability to follow safe work procedures is required.Practical experience in a similar roles, or a trade qualification such as electrical or plumbing, is desirable.Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accurate records.Current national police certificate, or be willing to complete a criminal history check.
