About the role:
Due to the rapid growth, we are now seeking a driven Financial Accountant who will support our finance team by ensuring accuracy of financial documents, and often, compliance with regulatory standards. Based in our Banksmeadow office, this role reports to the CFO and will be a key member within the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities).
ensuring accuracy of non-trading costs allocation.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements).
Completion of monthly balance sheet accounts.
Manage tax payments.
Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department).
Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies.
Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
Preparing monthly depreciation and maintain Fixed Asset Register.
Prepare monthly prepayment schedule.
Posting monthly journals.
Assisting audit with external auditor or other audit tasks.
Assisting the tasks with other finance members when required.
Other duties may be assigned.
About You:
Proven work experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role in Freight Industry is beneficial.
BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
Additional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
Knowledge of Cargowise software is beneficial.
In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures.
Solid knowledge of accounting regulations.
Excellent math skills with an attention to detail, Time-management abilities and Confidentiality.
Can-do, hands-on mindset with the ability to work autonomously as required.
