LJHooker Gungahlin is an award-winning, privately owned real estate franchise in Canberra. We are currently in need of an accounts manager to oversee our Gungahlin & Rural office accounts division.
Role Overview:
As a crucial member of our team, you will support our sales and property management accounting operations. Your responsibilities will include assisting with day-to-day finance duties, contributing to month-end processes, managing our compliance register, payroll and other administrative tasks associated with the accounts department. Key Responsibilities:
Support general financial operations, banking, receipting, trust accounts and assist with month-end processes and reporting.
Contribute to month-end close and year-end activities.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and management reports.
Identify and implement improvements to streamline processes.
Assist with the preparation and submission of monthly tax compliance.
Manage the Compliance Register.
Payroll and commission payments for team.
Other tasks across the accounts department role in real estate.

Experience & Qualifications:
A business or accounting degree or qualification would be necessary.
At least 4+ years of experience in a finance role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with Xero/MYOB is a plus.
Experience with payroll and payments of commissions would be preferred.
