The Role

An opportunity is available for a station hand with a focus on a large-scale sheep and cropping operation on Kangaroo Island, SA.

Reporting to the Farm Manager, the position will ideally suit a self-motivated individual looking to become part of a agile team.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Experience in monitoring livestock, including animal health, ensuring adequacy of feed & water, and implementing stock movements.
Experience in secure farm maintenance, mechanical applications, and operation of farm machinery/equipment.




Sound understanding of farm safety.
Ability to work autonomously to complete planned tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
Solid knowledge of animal welfare standards and documentation.

Key Requirements:
Excellent communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
Solid work ethic and attention to detail.
Show initiative, responsibility and have a positive attitude to work.
Be physically fit and able to fulfill all requirements of the role.
Working stock dogs would be an advantage.
Hold current drivers’ license.
