Engineering Surveyors
Metro & FIFO Opportunities
Due to continued growth, we are looking for experienced Engineering Surveyors for various Metro and FIFO opportunities. If you have proven survey capability, confidence working on active sites, and solid technical skills coupled with valuable people skills and a solutions-based attitude, we want to hear from you.
About the Role
You will support engineering and construction teams on a range of projects, with responsibilities that may include:
• Conducting all aspects of surveying to support the planning, design, and construction phases of projects
• Establishing and maintaining survey control networks
• Utilizing advanced surveying instruments, such as total stations, GPS receivers and laser scanners, to collect accurate field data
• Analyzing survey data and preparing detailed reports, maps, and plans.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure survey requirements are met and integrated into the project timeline.
• Conduct quality control checks on survey data to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Processing point cloud data for QA, clash detection, and deliverables
• Adhering to safety guidelines and promoting a culture of safety among team members.
• As-built surveys, conformance checks, and QA reporting
Essential Experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in civil construction, mining, or major infrastructure projects
• Practical site set-out experience in civil, earthworks, SMP, or industrial environments
• Solid technical capability with Leica Total Stations and GNSS
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and construction models
• Understanding of spatial control and project QA requirements
• Reliable work ethic and strong communication skills
Highly Desirable but not Essential
• Experience with 12d Model and 12d Field software
• Drone/UAV surveying experience, including aerial photogrammetry or LiDAR capture
• Experience processing drone data into orthophotos, point clouds, or terrain models
• CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL)
Requirements
• Degree/Diploma in Surveying OR equivalent practical set-out experience
or
• A recognized qualification in Surveying or Spatial Science
• White Card
• Driver’s license
• Ability to pass pre-employment medicals and D&A; screening
