Tyunga Farms is looking for an experienced farm hand to join their team on the Darling Downs in a full time, permanent capacity. This position would ideally be long-term and requires a reliable individual who wants to work with a dedicated team in a high-performing farming business.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, core responsibilities of the role will include:
setting up and operating tractors and powered implements to undertake a range of farm duties, including ground preparation, planting, fertilising and crop incorporation;
operating self-propelled spray rigs to do crop spraying activities;
independently operating and maintaining (at a basic level) crop irrigation systems, in particular lateral systems and pumps.

The successful candidate will be a team player and have experience in crop production, attention to detail,



and understand the time-critical nature of farming and the flexibility required at times. Availability for weekend work during the production season will also be required. Truck, forklift and ChemCert licences would be viewed favourably but are not essential.

This is a permanent, operational position; on-farm accommodation in a newly renovated, air-conditioned 3-bedroom home with established garden will be provided as part of the employment package. The house is located on the local school bus run.
