Based in Brisbane, Jardini Pty Ltd is a leading wholesaler and exporter of premium aquatic animals, including marine finfish, corals, and select freshwater species. We strive to follow protected and sustainable practices in both our collection and importing of ornamental species and are developing and expanding our aquaculture sector. We are searching for experienced Aquaculture Technicians to join our team.
The Role
We require a fully qualified Coxswain operator to operate our vessels under 30ft, positioned between Brisbane and Mackay. You will be responsible for all operational aspects of our vessels and vehicles to ensure that our experienced dive team can continue to work.
Duties include (but not limited to):
Operation of vessels under 30ft
Driving registered vehicles up to 4.5t (no truck license required)
Maintaining and upkeep of Records and maintenance
Collections and Fish Handling
Preparation and upkeep of Commercial fishing logs
Organisation of field operations team
The Candidate Selection Criteria
Essential:
Coxswain Certificate and Marine Radio
Senior First Aid
Driver’s License
Punctual, Reliable, and Excellent Communication skills.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work with minimal supervision.
Computer Literate and familiar with Excel/Google Sheets.
Ability to work outside of normal working hours and offsite as required.
Able to work a Weekend Roster
Immediate ability to work in Australia (Permanent Resident/Citizen/Working Visa).
Desirable:
Experience identifying finfish and coral species.
Min Open Water and Diving experience.

This is a unique chance for experienced Coxswain vessel operator to live and work in Brisbane. Training in highly specialized aquaculture techniques will be provided. Successful candidates will be working with a range of exciting flora and fauna. Remuneration may be negotiable for exceptionally experienced and qualified candidates.
