Receptionist and Weighbridge Operator

This well-established scrap metal company is a renowned name in Victoria’s Metal Recycling industry

A successful family-owned company is now looking for a Receptionist and Weighbridge Operator to manage their weighbridge office.

TASKS
Handling queries and complaints via phone, email, and general correspondence. Greeting all visitors. Transferring calls as necessary
To operate the weighbridge systems in accordance with the Duty of Care regulations, waste management permit and & procedures, and maintain reliable, adequate, and accurate records thereof in a timely manner
To process all relevant data / paperwork into SCRAPIT in an accurate and punctual manner in order assist site management in their day-to-day tasks.
Keep appropriate data record for exporting containers.
To be always courteous to customers, thereby providing exemplary customer service
Acting as first point of contact to resolve any issues/problems with the delivery / collection of the goods e.g.,



if delivered too late, and reporting/recording accordingly.
Possibly managing office supplies such as stationery, equipment, and furniture
Taking and ensuring messages are passed to the appropriate staff member on a timely basis

OTHER DUTIES
Develop and maintain own qualified knowledge, skills and experience including “on the job” training, self-development activities and networking with fellow employees.
Maintaining and developing effective relationships with all customers including all other areas of the company.
Reacting to customer enquiries, Invoice queries, service requests etc.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Proficient with MS Office

Positive oral and literary skills

Have the ability to prioritize and work on your own initiative.

EXPERIENCE DESIRED

Previous experience working in weighbridge office.
