What this role looks like
Process rates related activities, including but not limited to:
Notices of sale
Processing and issue S603 Certificates
Assessment of ratepayer overpayments & processing of refunds
Pensioner rebate processing & validation
Reconciliation of Rating System to Rates General Ledger Accounts & Valuer General Valuations
Investigate and maintain returned rate notices/mail
General rating tasks and enquiries & investigations
What are we seeking in our recent team member
3+ years rating experience in Local Government
Intermediate skills in Excel and Microsoft Office Tools
High level communication and organisation skills including correspondence, analytical & interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
A thorough knowledge & understanding of Local Government Rating Legislation, Valuation of Land Act and other related legislation
