Administration Traineeship - Corporate & Business Services
Ability Advocates Australia is partnering with Inner West Council to recruit an Administration Trainee within Corporate and Business Services as part of the Inclusive Traineeship Program 2026.
This is a paid, 12month traineeship, designed for people with disability who are looking to start or restart their career in a structured, supportive office workplace.
You will combine real work in a Council team with a Certificate III in Business, while receiving ongoing support from Ability Advocates throughout your employment.

About This Role – Corporate & Business Services
This role sits within internal business support teams. The setting is:
Office based and structured
Internally focused (limited public contact)
Predictable, systems based and routine oriented
Key Responsibilities
With training and support, you may:
Enter and maintain data in Council systems
Prepare documents, spreadsheets and correspondence
Support internal teams with administrative tasks
Manage emails, filing and records
Learn skilled office routines and communication
Responsibilities increase gradually as confidence grows.

Prefer quiet, structured office environments
Like routine, organisation and clear instructions
Want to build confidence using computers and systems
Are reliable and willing to learn
No previous office experience is required.
Who Can Apply
This traineeship is specifically for people with disability with a long term condition (12 months or more).
Supporting evidence may include an NDIS plan, DSP evidence, allied health report or education based documentation. This is handled respectfully and confidentially.
