Position: Senior Software Developer – ICT (Power BI Developer)

Location: Brisbane, CBD - hybrid

Period: Until Dec 2026, possible extensions

Open to Brisbane based candidates only

About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to join a Data & Analytics team delivering high-impact reporting and analytics products as part of a broader data modernisation uplift to a large, complex government organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and test Power BI dashboards, reports, visualisations, widgets and portals
Work with technical specialists and SMEs to gather and document reporting/information requirements
Provide plain-language guidance on technical issues to non-technical audiences
Contribute to system, integration, UAT and production verification testing
Use advanced SQL techniques for integration, optimisation and performance tuning
Support adoption of current analytics operating patterns (including Microsoft Fabric)





Required skills / experience
Robust commercial experience delivering Power BI reporting solutions end-to-end
Exposure to Microsoft Fabric and up-to-date cloud analytics uplift programs
Excellent stakeholder engagement and requirements translation skills
Advanced SQL, query optimisation and performance tuning
Experience working in structured, governance-heavy settings (highly regarded)
