We're seeking an experienced
Migration Architect
to lead the discovery, assessment, solution design and migration planning activities for a major infrastructure transformation programme. Working within a highly regulated environment, you'll assess a VMware estate and design the migration to a Microsoft Hyper-V platform, while also shaping the transition of the End User Computing setting to Omnissa Horizon on Hyper-V. This is a strategic architecture-focused role with no hands-on migration or operational support responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
Assess VMware, VDI and infrastructure settings for migration readiness. Design target-state Hyper-V and SCVMM architectures. Develop migration strategies, tooling recommendations and wave plans. Design Omnissa Horizon VDI solutions, including GPU-enabled settings.
Provide architectural leadership and stakeholder engagement across the programme. Skills & Experience
Proven experience designing VMware to Hyper-V migrations. Robust knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, Hyper‑V and SCVMM. Experience with VMware/Omnissa Horizon and enterprise VDI environments. Background leading large‑scale infrastructure transformation programmes. Excellent stakeholder management and technical design documentation skills. Requirements
Australian Citizenship mandatory. NV1 Security Clearance (minimum) or eligibility to obtain. NV2 highly regarded. If you're a senior architect with strong virtualisation and EUC transformation experience, we'd love to hear from you. Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre‑employment screening checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification and any other client requested checks.
