Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all day-to-day manufacturing operations.
Develop and oversee production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
Manage Production Supervisors, sewing machinists, and production staff.
Monitor production KPIs, labour efficiency, quality, waste, and on-time delivery.
Ensure Sherrin’s handcrafted footballs meet strict quality and workmanship standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce costs, and minimise waste.
Manage staffing levels, recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
Coordinate with procurement, warehousing, sales, and logistics to ensure smooth production flow.
Oversee inventory levels, raw materials, and production planning.
Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), quality systems, and company policies.
Prepare production reports, forecasts, budgets, and operational metrics for senior management.




Identify process improvements and implement Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Production Manager within a manufacturing setting.
Strong leadership experience managing supervisors and large production teams.
Experience with production planning, scheduling, and resource management.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma principles.
Robust understanding of quality assurance systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and production reporting.
Proficient with ERP/MRP or production management systems.
Ability to work in a rapid-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high quality standards.
